Privacy Policy
Effective: 29 August 2026 · Last updated: 29 August 2026
1. Controller and operator
Turnaround Toolkit is operated by THINKERZ LTD (company number SC778478), whose registered office is at Clyde Offices, 2nd Floor, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP. THINKERZ LTD is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@thinkerz.co.uk or through our contact form.
2. Overview
Turnaround Toolkit is designed to be usable without an account and without collecting sensitive company or personal financial information through its tools. The diagnostic, calculator and recovery-plan tools run in your browser and the information you enter does not leave your device. The only personal data transmitted to us is what you choose to provide through the contact form.
3. Browser-side tool data (assessment, calculators, recovery plan)
Inputs you enter into the Business Recovery Assessment, the Cash Runway Calculator, the Break-Even Calculator and the Recovery Plan Generator are stored only in your browser's session storage. They are not uploaded to, or stored on, our servers or in any application database. They are cleared automatically when you close your browser session. You can also clear them at any time using the Reset or Clear buttons provided in each tool.
4. Weekly Business Reset (local storage)
Your Weekly Business Reset entries are saved in local storage on your own device, so they persist between visits on that device. They are not transmitted to us or stored in any application database. Clearing your browser storage — or using the “Clear saved data” button in the Weekly Business Reset — removes them permanently from that device.
5. Contact enquiries
If you contact us through the contact form, the details you submit (name, email, optional company and message) are transmitted by email to our operator address so that we can respond to your enquiry. This information is used solely for correspondence about your enquiry. We do not store contact enquiries in an application database or entity, and we do not display them publicly. A technical honeypot field and basic validation are used to filter spam; submissions that fail these checks are discarded.
6. Technical and session data
Our hosting and platform infrastructure may process limited technical information (such as IP address and request timestamps) as part of delivering and securing the site. This may be processed by our hosting and platform infrastructure provider as part of operating and securing the site. The role of that provider, and any applicable data-protection terms, are determined by our arrangement with it; we have not separately verified or categorically stated that role here.
7. Cookies, browser storage and similar technologies
We do not set any application cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising. The only storage used by the site itself is the in-browser session and local storage described in Sections 3 and 4, which is under your control and never sent to us. Platform or hosting infrastructure may use essential technical/session mechanisms necessary to serve and secure the site.
8. Cookies and third-party services
No optional analytics, advertising or tracking services are installed on this site, and we do not use any AI/LLM processing on your tool inputs or contact enquiries. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and media and files are hosted through Base44 infrastructure. These third parties process only the technical data necessary to serve the fonts and files and have their own privacy policies.
9. Lawful bases for processing
For contact enquiries, we process your name, email and message on the lawful basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and/or our legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry (Article 6(1)(f)). Limited technical/session data processed by our hosting infrastructure is based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service (Article 6(1)(f)).
10. Retention
Browser-side tool data in session storage is cleared when you close your browser, and Weekly Business Reset local-storage data is retained on your device until you clear it. Contact enquiries delivered by email are retained only for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry, in line with our email retention practice, unless a longer period is required by law.
11. Processors and international transfers
Our platform and hosting provider (Base44) hosts the site and may process limited technical data as part of providing and securing the service. We have not separately verified whether, or under what terms, any particular provider acts as a processor or controller, and we do not state categorically that any specific international-transfer mechanism (such as a UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK adequacy regulations, or another recognised safeguard) is in place. Where personal data may be processed outside the UK by our providers, we rely on those providers to apply appropriate safeguards as required by UK data-protection law. If you require confirmation of the specific safeguards relied upon, please contact us.
12. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Where applicable, you also have rights to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@thinkerz.co.uk. Browser-side tool data is under your direct control through your browser and is not held by us, so it is best managed by clearing your browser storage.
13. Complaints to the ICO
If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent authority for data protection. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by phone on 0303 123 1113.
14. Privacy contact
For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email hello@thinkerz.co.uk or write to THINKERZ LTD, Clyde Offices, 2nd Floor, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 1BP.
